... or even, frankly, an indifferent or wholly morally bankrupt one. I'm no snob.

  • Indesit W113 Washing Machine 1100 spin

  • Moulinex FM 1535E Microwave Oven 650w

  • Double bed and mattress see picture below

All free to anyone who can pick them up from the Blackhorse Rd area of Walthamstow.

I have a nasty feeling that most people I know are far too well-off for this sort of thing, though, so, alternatively, does anyone know of any charities that would want these and which would pick them up?

Please do pass on to anyone who might be interested. If no-one bites by Friday then they'll go on Freecycle.

I can recommend Freecycle - people are always looking for stuff and will come and collect it.

Oops, yes, I meant to mention that I'd put them on Freecycle if no-one's interested. Shall add that. Thanks.

Your local freecycle?

Yup! I meant to mention that when I first posted! I'm just giving my LJ lot first dibs. Nine chances out of ten nobody here'll want the stuff, but it seemed worth a try.

...wholly morally bankrupt one.... double bed and mattress ...
This sounds like a preamble to an episode of Tales of the Unexpected ...

We might be interested in the bed. Depends on the size of it though. We were thinking of getting a cheap double bed to temporarily replace our huge monster king size while we're selling the house, so as to make the bedroom look bigger.

If it's a standard double then we'll pop up and get it in the boat. Can I be cheeky and ask for the measurements?

Hmm, I need a new icon for desperately middle aged/class type posts like this :o)

I think it's a standard double - it's certainly a fair bit smaller than my kingsize - but I'll get the measurements this evening and send them along to you.

God, yes, I know what you mean about the icon... Me too. *sigh*

Cool, sounds like just the ticket. I can probably come get this weekend, subject to being able to put our current bed in storage at the same time (two beds in one room wouldn't help with making it more spacious).

One other thing, I'm assuming that the frame breaks down in some way for transport? While the Espace is big, it's not (quite) a double bedroom.

Yup, it breaks down (and is, in fact, broken down at the moment): the only large and bulky thing is the mattress.

This weekend would be great! But I'll get you those dimensions so you can be sure it's appropriate before we start arranging things.

Damn, I wish that you lived in York! And not just for the free stuff... :-)

Aw. Me too. If I could only get a job up there, I'd be back like a shot!
